Press Journal

A gardener friend showed me a copy of Gardens Illustrated and House & Garden many years ago, before my interest in plants had become an obsession.

Flicking through the images was the first time I'd been presented with the prospect of gardens, plants and design being a viable job. I'd never seen gardens shown in such a beautiful way, and it became the catalyst for pursuing a path in horticulture.

Never did I think a garden I'd created would appear in either of these magazines, or that the work would be featured on BBC Gardeners' World. It's been a bit of a pinch-me moment, and a humbling one, alongside so many long-time inspirational designers.

On Midsummer’s Day, Gardeners’ World came to film the garden.

It was my first time in front of a camera, and I was pretty nervous, but it was a beautiful day with a wonderful crew who made me feel as relaxed as I could be.
